The indoor garden at Movement Gym in Amersfoort combines tranquility and functionality. Evergreen plants, shade plants, ferns, mosses and trees create a serene atmosphere, while gravel and a water dish provide structure and calm. VIC Landscapes created the design and executed the project.

VIC Landscapes: “During the preparation, we looked at the water problems on this existing roof. Together with the roofer, we determined a suitable compact roof system. In addition to the 5+1 Drainage System, additional drainage space in the form of 50 mm high water retention crates was placed around the HWA points to relieve the water pressure on the drainage system slightly. Clever use of drainage products ensures dry feet and provides a nice foundation for this intensive roof garden, which acts as a resting point in the heart of the gym.”
