What is hydroseeding?
Hydroseeding is the best way to apply sedum shoots on an extensive green roof system. After the cuttings are manually spread, they are covered with a layer of organic material called mulch. After sowing sedum, the sedum cuttings/sprouts are covered with a layer of organic material, the so-called mulch layer. This layer, which consists of a green-colored mixture of wood or cellulose pulp, a special adhesive with fertilizer and water, is sprayed over the sedum cuttings using a hydroseeder.
Quality, wide choice and preference
To guarantee the quality of the vegetation, we use sedum cuttings from our own nursery when hydroseeding. The standard mixture of cuttings consists of at least seven different types of sedum. This can of course be adjusted to your wishes. The cuttings can also be combined with a seed mixture of wild flowers, herbs and ornamental grasses. Hydroseeding can be used for extensive roof vegetation, but it is also ideal for the construction of slopes, verges, noise barriers, ground cover, water retention basins and ditch banks. Grass seeds are often used instead of sedum cuttings for these applications. Seeds are mixed directly with the mulch layer and sprayed onto the slope or verge in one go.
