Suitable system for steep pitched roofs without roof curb

For roofs without curbs with a roof slope of 25° or more, erosion protection measures need to be done. In this structure, the ND Erosion Protection Profiles serve as a roof curb. The profiles are attached to the ND ESG 40/40 Erosion Protective Geogrid using the ND Fixing Clips.

The ND 100 Drainage System on a roll forms the core of this extensive green roof. This multifunctional CE-marked drainage system protects vegetation against water build-up. The ND 100 Drainage System protects the waterproofing membrane against the build-up of water pressure and mechanical loads both during and after construction. In tegenstelling tot drainagesystemen uit de ND +1 serie voor groendaken heeft dit drainagesysteem geen omgekeerde nop met waterbuffer.

The ND 100 Drainage System is easy and quick to install because the filter geotextile and drainage core are glued together. The drainage system is supplied on a roll and is therefore easy to handle and quick to unroll.

Due to the slope of the roof, increased rainwater drainage must be taken into account.

With this system we recommend using a root-resistant waterproofing membrane to limit the risk of sliding. More information regarding erosion protection can be found in the FLL guidelines.
